In recognition of the deep history and culture of this Island Lutrawita, Richmond Futures would like to acknowledge and pay our respects to all Tasmanian Aboriginal people and acknowledge our respect for their culture and identity which has been bound up with the Land, Waterways and Sky for generations. We would also like to pay our respects to Elders, past and present for they hold the memories, knowledge, culture and hopes of Aboriginal Tasmania.

Richmond Futures is committed to continuously building an inclusive and safe organisational culture, where people can bring their whole (authentic and true) self. Diverse experiences, ways of knowing, thinking and working styles are valued, encouraged and respected because we recognise that expertise and knowledge comes in various forms. We work in solidarity with one another to create a workplace where everybody can belong, connect and succeed in their role. We do this by courageously sharing our different perspectives, radically listening, being open to reflection and change, and learning from each other.

About Richmond Futures

Richmond Futures is a locally operated Tasmanian owned not-for-profit organisation that has been supporting people facing mental health challenges and social disadvantage for over 39 years. We are an independent, non-government, non-religiously affiliated organisation that recognises you as a whole person not just your mental health diagnosis.

What sets us apart

Our experience in supporting Tasmanians who are living with a primary or secondary psychosocial disability and our passion to work with you on your wellbeing journey. We draw on over 39 years of experience as Tasmania’s leading provider of community-based mental health services.

We recognise that participants with psychosocial disability really want and need specialised service, with experience in mental health, recovery and wellbeing and an understanding of the functional impacts of psychosocial disability.

Richmond Futures walks alongside you to explore your passions and the supports that help you to connect to the activities you love, and work toward your recovery related goals. You will be supported to exercise choice and control and to increase your independence, social and economic participation.

Richmond Futures is an NDIS registered provider and has achieved certification from the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. Richmond Futures is a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission.
